Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms and will maximize technique. It provides the grace and poise needed to be proficient in all other areas of dance. Ballet classes will help dancers with posture, flexibility, fitness, balance, self-discipline, and self-confidence.
Pointe is by evaluation and instructor recommendation only. Enrollment in corresponding ballet level is required.
Jazz dance is an exploration of style and presentation. Jazz classes begin with a warm-up to develop strength, flexibility, correct alignment and coordination, followed by progressions across the floor, and culminates in extended dance combinations.
Tap is characterized by creating syncopated and rhythmic sounds. The core of the class will focus on the development of basic technical skills, as well as the ability to understand music and rhythm.
Acro increases flexibility, strength, balance, coordination, endurance, and body awareness.
We are an Acrobatic Arts school, and follow the standardized curriculum through all levels of Acro. Placement in all acro levels above 4 is by exam only.
Contortion is an increased focus on flexibility and strength to perform highly stylized poses. AA level 5+ exam required.
Cirque is supplemental class that adds work on circus equipment (silks, lyra, balance canes, etc). AA level 5+ exam required.
Lyrical is a combination of ballet and jazz that challenges dancers to use choreography and movement to interpret the music and express emotion.
Contemporary is a style of dance that draws from modern, jazz and lyrical dance genres. Students will express themselves through movement that is driven by the music in this combination-centered class structure
This class is an introductory course to both ballet and tap, done in 30 minute segments each.
This class is an introductory course to both jazz and acro, done in 30 minute segments each.
This class for 3-6 year olds is a "sampler" of ballet, tap and acro. It is designed to introduce younger students to multiple styles without overwhelming them.
